Appointment of Interim Managing Director for North West London Pathology

North West London Pathology (NWLP) announces the departure of Saghar Missaghian-Cully and the appointment of Angela Jean-Francois as Interim Managing Director

After many rewarding years at NWLP and 28 years within the NHS, Saghar Missaghian-Cully, managing director of North West London Pathology has taken an exciting new opportunity outside the NHS. From January 2026, Saghar will be joining SYNLAB UK & Ireland, where she will take charge of several businesses across multiple countries.

Under her leadership, NWLP has achieved significant transformation and milestones – driving innovation, leading digital transformation and establishing NWLP as one of the most respected pathology networks not only within the NHS but across the country. 

Saghar said: “This decision was not easy – my time at NWLP has been among the most fulfilling of my career. However, I know that the future of NWLP remains bright thanks to the strong foundations we have built and the exceptional teams across our network. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all colleagues within each of the partner trusts for their support and dedication.”

Angela Jean-Francois appointed as Interim Managing Director for North West London Pathology

Angela said: “I’m honoured to take on this role and continue working with such talented teams. I’m confident that we can continue to build on our strong foundations and keep driving innovation and excellence in pathology services.”

Angela’s appointment will be for six months, commencing January 2026. Over the coming weeks, Angela will be working closely with the executive team, service leads, and partner Trusts to ensure a smooth transition ahead of her start in January.
