On 24 February we achieved another significant milestone in our transformation programme.
Phase 1 of the MDAL went live with chemistry and immunoassay tests on the automated track at Charing Cross, our hub site.
Once phases 2 and 3 are completed, the MDAL will be one of the largest in the UK. It will be run as a single department processing tests 24/7 from clinical biochemistry, haematology and haemostasis, viral serology and immunology.
