Matt Connell

Matthew is the Director of Digital, Data and IT at North West London Pathology. He has significant experience working in Pathology IT across a number of NHS organisations, with various LIMS, EPR and healthcare systems.

He registered as a Biomedical Scientist in 2003 specialising in Clinical Biochemistry, eventually becoming a fellow of the IBMS and later working in Immunology.

Matthew is a member of the IBMS Advisory Panel for IT Pathology. Matthews interests include using IT to support process improvement, clinical decision support, AI and unlocking the potential of large data created by laboratory medicine.
