POCT Team Wins RCPath Highly Commended Award 2025!

We’re thrilled to announce that the Point of Care Testing (POCT) team has received a Highly Commended Award from the Royal College of Pathologists (RCPath) for their outstanding contribution to improving service delivery across the network. The POCT team led a pan-pathology procurement implementation programme to replace 597 blood gas analysers and glucose meters for three London NHS hospital trusts across seven sites.

The team’s key achievements include:

• 597 POCT devices deployed across seven major hospital sites on time and under budget
• 7,900 staff trained
• Training, deployment and go-live carried out in just 4-6 weeks
• Extensive IT integration required working with all Trust IT teams
