An antibody screen, including smooth muscle, gastric parietal cell, mitochondrial and LKM antibodies, by indirect immunofluorescence using mouse liver/kidney/stomach substrate. Positive samples are then confirmed by a secondary method. These uncommon antibodies are found in patients with various types of hepatitis type II. LKM-1 is found in autoimmune hepatitis type II and viral hepatitis C. |
