Anti-PLA2R antibodies is a highly specific antibody that occurs in up to 70%-75% of primary membranous glomerulonephritis (MGN) patients, and will provide an important diagnostic marker which will differentiate primary MGN form secondary MGN. This is important to determine as the therapeutic strategies are different for both diseases. |
