Detection of IgG precipitating antibodies to Aspergillus.
Aspergillus IgG precipitin antibodies may be found in allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA), extrinsic allergic alveolitis (EAA), hypersensitivity pneumonitis, pulmonary aspergillosis and aspergilloma. Presence of the antibody is not diagnostic, but is a marker of ongoing fungal exposure and should be interpreted in context of relevant diagnostic criteria.
