Test background

To detect the presence of IgG antibodies bound to the antigens on the red blood cell surface membrane.

Clinical Indications

To determine if there are any antibodies on the surface of the patient's red cells. Used in the investigation of haemolytic anaemia, a haemolytic transfusion reaction and drug-induced haemolysis.

Sample volume 4 mL for paediatrics 6 mL for adults
