Test background |
This test detects the most common nuclear and cytoplasmic IgG antibodies found in connective tissue disease. ENA are useful in classifying clinical subsets of connective tissue diseases. The ENA panel is tested following a positive ANA or CTD screen by a multiplex magnetic bead based immunoassay and includes Ro52, Ro60, SSB/La, Sm, RNP, Ribosomal P, Jo-1, Scl-70 (topoisomerase 1) and centromere B antibodies. |
