Test background |
Patients with anti-parathyroid hormone (PTH) antibodies, present with unexplained clinical hypoparathyroidism, but with normal or raised levels of PTH. Parathyroid antibodies are found in around 35% of patients with idiopathic hypoparathyroidism. They are also found in around 5% of healthy controls. |
