The anti-PLA2R (IgG) antibody assay is a quantitative enzyme immunoassay (ELISA) for the in vitro measurement of IgG antibodies targeted against the M-type-phospholipase A2 receptor (PLA2R) on renal podocytes in patient sera.

Anti-PLA2R antibodies are positive in 75-80% of cases of primary membranous glomerulonephritis and correlate well with disease activity and progression.

This test is performed by ELISA.
