Test background

Flow cytometric assay for the assessment of peripheral T cell memory and B cell memory subsets. Naïve, effector, memory and terminally differentiated CD4 and CD8 T cells are reported alongside naïve, transitional, IgM memory and class-switched memory B cells.

Suspected primary or secondary antibody deficiency
Classification of CVID
Exclusion of LOCID
Staging immune defect in 22q11.2 syndrome

Adult T cell reference ranges are taken from Clark S et al. J Allergy Clin Immunol. 128:838-846.e5.
Paediatric T cell reference ranges are taken from Schatorje EJH, et al. Scandinavian Journal of Immunology, 2012, 75, 436–444.
Adult B cell reference ranges are taken from Warnatz, K et al. Cytometry Part B (Clinical Cytometry) 74B:261–271 (2008).
Paediatric B cell reference ranges are taken from Morbach H et al. Clin Exp Immunol 162:271-279.
