Sulphonylurea derivatives are a class of anti-diabetic drugs that are used in the management of diabetes mellitus type 2. They act by stimulating insulin release from the beta cells in the pancreas.

Clinical Indications

Differential diagnosis of hypoglycaemia when both C-peptide and insulin are elevated, ie. endogenous production.
