Sulphonylurea derivatives are a class of anti-diabetic drugs that are used in the management of diabetes mellitus type 2. They act by stimulating insulin release from the beta cells in the pancreas. |
Clinical Indications |
Differential diagnosis of hypoglycaemia when both C-peptide and insulin are elevated, ie. endogenous production. |
